Entry To Canada
TRAVEL DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO CANADA
Canada has one of the most advanced customs processes in the world to provide visitors with security and ease of travel. Visitors must have valid travel documents to enter Canada to provide proof of their citizenship. Document requirements vary depending on from which country you are travelling.
American visitors require a valid passport to re-enter the United States. For more information on travel security and border procedures, visit the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
CARIBBEAN AND CENTRAL AMERICA
Please remember to inform athletes from Caribbean and Central America that when applying for the visa for Canada for WMA 2020 and/or the US for NCCMMA 2021, they should request a TOURIST VISA and NOT an Athletic Visa.
Recuerde informar a los atletas del Caribe y América Central que cuando soliciten la visa para Canadá y / o EE. UU. Para 2020 y 2021, deben solicitar una VISA TURÍSTICA y NO una Visa de Atletismo.
Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa. Entry requirements for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed. Starting August 1, 2015, eligible travelers can apply online for an eTA. On March 15, 2016, this entry requirement will become mandatory and travelers will need an eTA before they can board a flight to Canada.
